NEW RAIL LINK FOR BLACKPOOL
International tourists are set to be offered a direct link to the resort from Liverpool's John Lennon airport shortly. The new route will be running hourly from Blackpool's North station into Liverpool and with a direct bus to the airport. This will obviously be a great link that will not only help the tourists and travellers, but also the businesses in Blackpool. Many Blackpool hotels have long been calling for new links to bring in new source of tourism business to town.
Councillor Graham Cain , who is Blackpool's Council cabinet member for tourism and culture, said " It's a welcome the link up with another international airport and we hope it will bring more international guests into Blackpool".
Trains from the town stations will carry the new Liverpool South Parkway station as part of the Northern rail routes between Blackpool North Liverpool lime Street station. From there, passengers will be able to get a straight to the airport using a new bus connection service.
The new services will be running hourly between Monday and Sunday from 9:37AM until 2:37PM, with additional service at 8:38AM on Saturdays. As we get more information we will let you know or you could always visit www.Northernrail.org
